Description:The camera is looking up Trinity street towards Stafford Street. The first road off to the left, beyond Clegg's, is Lower Foundry Street. Alan's Furnishing store has an oriel window on the corner, still as it was. This side of the Worthington's Ales advert, hidden from view, are the old Sentinel offices and the Empire Cinema.
Behind the two men in overalls is Gitana Street and further up the offi9ces of The Royal Insurance Company and Trinity Street Presbyterian Church. This range of buildings has been demolished. Beyond is the entrance to the Piccadilly Shopping Arcade.
The photograph was taken from close to Marsh street at a time when Trinity Street had two way traffic along its entire length.
