Description:This stone signpost (and at one time, horse trough) stands at the junction of Eaves Lane and Greasley Road in Bucknall. Reputed to have been erected by the Owen family who lived at the rectory in Bucknall. At the top is a carved dove with the date 1882 underneath.

Carved at the ends of the sing are two words in Welsh: on the right ceidw (he keeps or saves) and on the left, cafodd ( he got).
