Description:Situated on the Biddulph Valley branch line of the N.S.R. this former signal box was very important. The line stretched from the main line at Stoke to rejoin it at Congleton via Milton Junction.
To the right of the picture was Ford Green station. The line not only dealt with passenger traffic; it served Victoria Colliery, Norton Colliery and later Chatterley Whitfield Colliery as well as Taylor’s chainworks.
