Description:The open space was the site of the former meat market in Burslem. Situated next to the town hall the meat market was built around 1850 for the sale of fresh meat. Behind the market was the Police station, moved to it’s present site in the 1920’s.
The Queens Theatre is in the background next to the Georgian style post office.
