Description:A railway wagon is hand pushed across Station Road to a small wagon yard. The site of this yard is now a car park for rail travellers. There were no parking problems for the driver of this early motor car! Cars were still a relative novelty in Stoke in 1928. This one appears to be a Stoke-on-Trent registered 1927 Morris Cowley with the more unusual 3/4-coupé body.
The buildings on the immediate left and right of the photograph no longer stand, having been demolished to make way for a car park, post office and other railway buildings.
