Description:During the years between the first and second world wars the holiday seasons saw hoards of people flooding into resorts such as Colwyn Bay in North Wales. Other popular seaside towns were Rhyl, Llandudno and Blackpool.
Here a mother and daughter enjoy a paddle in the Irish Sea. In the background the pier would see steam ferries departing for day trips to the Isle of Man.
