Date:1945

Description:Situated on the very edge of Longton’s urban sprawl one could be fooled into thinking that this is a quiet country scene. To the left the embankment carries the mineral railway line to Florence Colliery, about a mile and a half away.

At this time the Post Office was run by Tom Critchlow and his sister.
