Description:The Spode company was established by Josiah Spode I in the 1760's and in 2002 is still producing ceramic products at the site shown in the picture.
Whilst the company has modernised the site since this picture was taken ceramic wares are still produced using the techniques perfected by Josiah Spode in the late eighteenth century.
