Description:An aerial view looking north-east over the Staffordshire Potteries factory site at Meir, with houses on Edenhurst Avenue and Applewood Drive on the far side of the A500. The factory site is now occupied by retail units at Meir Park.

Staffordshire Potteries Ltd took over disused hangers on the disused Meir Airport site in the early 1950s and grew to be the largest manufacturers of mugs in the world, producing 750,000 a week. In 1986 the company was purchased by Coloroll Group of Manchester. The site was vacated and redeveloped in the early 1990s.
