Description:The Old Smithy on Park drive is a triangular shaped building sandwiched between Park Drive (on the left) and an access road on the right. The entrance is appropriately in the shape of a horseshoe and is flanked by two pillars which are topped by artificial flame shapes. The blacksmith's shop was in use until after the First World War both to serve estate horses and as a training centre for farriers. Today the building is partly obscured behind a hedge.
