Description:Looking southeast wards from the heights of Boon Avenue over Stoke towards the spoil tip of Fenton Collieries with Parkhall ,and possibly, Mossfield in the far distance. On the right hand side are two of the floodlight pylons of the old Stoke City FC Victoria Ground in Boothen. In the foreground, the large house is Ashlfields Cottage, at one time the home of William Goss who operated at the Falcon Pottery. The necks of the bottle ovens just to the right of the house are probably on the Falcon Works site, now occupied by Portmeirion.
