Description:The Green is an area of open space at the northern end of The Avenue in Hartshill. In the photograph, The Avenue is in the foreground, the houses in the background are on Albany road. Stowell Green is off to the right.
This part of The Avenue dates from the 1920s. The Green was the site of a Seventh Day Adventist Church until 1949.
