Description:Taken from the corner of Benson Street and St Michael's Road in Pitts Hill, the camera is looking south towards Tunstall with the tower and copper domes of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, on Queen's Avenue, in the centre. The trees mark Victoria Park.

On the corner is Tunstall Primitive Methodist Chapel and on the right hand side of the road, the houses and shops date from the 1880s and 1890s. At that time the road was known as High Street.
