Date:March 1964

Description:The photograph is taken from just beyond the corner of Cartlich Street looking north towards Sandyford. The view is very different today with the houses on the left replaced by the large roundabout at the end of Reginald Mitchell Way (A527).
The tower in the centre belongs to St Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Goldenhill. On the left is the edge of the Boston Pottery earthenware works.
