Description:The photograph is looking east from Chell Heath Road across the Bank Haye Brook valley towards Norton in the Moors. Towards the right edge of the photograph is the tower of Norton Church (St Bartholomew's). The estate of houses in the centre dates from after the Second World War: over 1100 council houses were built on the site of Pinfold Colliery. The valley is now part of Whitfield Nature Reserve
