Description:Looking north from the Rose & Crown Inn along Stanley Road. The public house stands at the junction with Clewlows Bank (off to the right). Stanley village lies straight ahead and a right turn along Clewlows Bank leads to Bagnall. At the top of Stanley road was Harrison & Son's Hercules Mill, grinding potters' materials. Is the lorry carrying stone for the mill?
