Description:This is a view north east along Caroline Street. At the top end lies the junction with Upper Cross Street and Anchor Passage with The Miners' Rest public house (a Parker's Ales inn) just visible on the right. Many of the houses and the shop to the left of Cross Street are awaiting demolition. Cross Street no longer exists and the area has been cleared and the housing stock redeveloped. An old gas street light stands on the corner of Cross Street. The chimney just to the left of the Miners' rest belongs to The Tuscan Works.
