Description:The north end of Piccadilly in about 1860. In the centre of the photograph is the Unicorn Inn (number 40 Piccadilly). Immediately to the right is Parr's hosiery shop at number 38. Further to the right is the future site of Boyce Adams' grocers shop (which would be built in 1877). To the extreme right of the photograph is the corner with Brunswick Street.
The Unicorn Inn still remains, but the frontage of the other buildings is much changed.
