Date:August 1964

Description:A view south from just outside the Boothen Stand at Stoke City's old Victoria Ground. Boothen Old Road is to the left and Lime Street to the right. The corner shop in the centre is now a house but the rest of the terraced houses are largely the same. Notice the children playing in the streets. The boys in Lime Street have a home-made soapbox car. There is less traffic and far fewer parked cars than there would be today.
