Description:Pearlware dark blue printed plate with transfer printed illustration of the Marine Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky. Width of fragment 155mm. The Marine Hospital at Louisville, Kentucky was set up by the United States Government to provide medical care for those engaged in inland navigation. The plate was excavated at St. Paul's Church, Burslem in 1974.
