Description:Black basalt portrait bust, height 220mm. George Washington (1732-1799) was the first President of the United States. He was commander-in-chief of the American army and a hero of the people during the Revolutionary war with Great Britain. The bust is impressed 'Enoch Wood, Sculp. 1818'.
