Description:Vase. 2002.C.436. 1863. Bone china. H: 45 cm.

Sèvres style vase and cover with mazarine blue ground and painted panels by Thomas Allen.

To the front the panels depict rescue of Venus, and to the reverse interlocking rose and flower garlands.

This vase has scrolled handles with gilt laurel leaf festoons.
