Cruet set. 1983.P.186.2,.3. 1929-1931.

Over glaze painted earthenware. H (salt) : 86 mm, H (pepper) : 80 mm. Earthenware salt cellar and pepper pot.

Decorated with an over glaze painted stylised floral pattern and matt glaze.

Pattern name is 'Latona', which was produced in a number of colourways.

This version is known as 'Dahlia'. The shape is known as 'Muffineer', which originally would have come in a set with a covered mustard pot.

Made by Clarice Cliff whilst working at A. J. Wilkinson, Burslem.
