Description:Cup, saucer and plate ‘crinoline lady’ trio by Alfred Meakin. Marked on base with crown and ‘Alfred Meakin England’.

Alfred Meakin’s Royal Albert, Victoria and Highgate Potteries, Tunstall were founded in 1875. In 1957 the company moved to new works. In 1976 the company became Myott-Meakin before being absorbed by the Churchill Group in 1991.
