Glazed Earthenware H. 6.5 x W. 32.8 cm Earthenware plaque thrown and turned at Winchcombe Pottery, Gloucestershire, England and decorated by Henry Bergen.

Slip decorated using a paper stencil, lead transparent glazed. Impressed legend around the rim 'WHY LET THE STRVCKEN DEERE GO WEEPE. THE HART VNGALLED PLAY. FOR SOME MVST WATCH WHILE SOME MVST SLEEPE. SO RVNNES THE WORLD AWAY'.
