Date:18th of December 1804

Description:During the early 1800s, the pottery industry began to experience growing problems with their wares being "pilfered" in transit.

This notice outlines the resolutions of a meeting called to discuss the question.

That all carriers should be able to charge 2d for every hogshead and 1d for every crate on their boats, as long as the money is accounted for.
That the Trent and Mersey Canal Company should be asked to allow wharfingers to record incoming and outgoing goods.
