Description:This perennial spreads across hedgebanks, railway embankments and clearings by spreading its runners.

Flowering between April and July, it can grow to a height of 15cm and produces fruit until October.

This example was collected at Hawkesyard, near Armitage in Staffordshire by local naturalist Henry Reader in May 1919.
