Description:This perennial commonly grows in soils rich in lime (known as "calcareous" soils).
Flowering between May and September, it can grow up to 50cm in height, and its flowers can be red, yellow, or purple.
This example was found growing at Trentham in Stoke-on-Trent, by a local naturalist in 1983.
