Description:You will find this undershrub straggling across Staffordshire's limestone slopes.
But while this wild plant grows on rural pastures, it owes its name to the varieties used for garden rockeries!
Flowering between May and August, its stem can reach a length of 25cm.
This example was found growing in Ecton, Staffordshire, by local naturalist Eric Edees during summer 1955.
