Description:This robust perennial herb, with its swaying motion preserved in shape, can usually be found in fast-flowing water.
Flowering between June and August, its tough stem can grow up to 1 metre long.
This example was found growing in the River Blithe by local naturalist Eric Edees in 1956.
Water-crowfoot needs clean water, unpolluted and rich in oxygen, to flourish. Although you can find it across the world, Britain is home to 20% of all the world's water-crowfoot.
