Description:Pottery factory interior showing a man fixing a spout to a teapot.

The teapot was assembled or stuck up when the clay had dried to a leather-hard state, not completely dry.

The pieces were joined using slip (liquid clay).

To the left of the picture a teapot handle, spout and body can be seen in the plaster moulds they were cast in.

Note the holes in the teapot body to let the tea out.
