Date:1907

Description:Outdoor portrait of a young girl posing in formal dress. She is named Dot Batkin and the photograph was taken during the Easter period of 1907, when it is thought Dot was twelve.

Dot's father was Wilmot Dudley Batkin, a leading business man in Stafford, who was also a champion rifle shooter and prominent freemason until his death in 1935.

The location of the photograph is unknown but the date and subject suggest it could be one of a group of images taken at Fairy Glen and Darlaston.
