Description:The large house in this photograph was built, in the then popular Jacobean style, in around 1860. When the photograph was taken the house was occupied by a dental surgeon named Jones. A building of similar style can be found on Broad Street outside The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery.
The building was finally used by the Co-operative Society as a bank before its demolition in the early 1980’s due to mining subsidence.
