Date:March 1965

Description:This photograph was taken looking north east from the western end of Grove Road. On then left edge is Christchurch, Fenton and in the centre, the pithead buildings of Fenton (Glebe) Colliery with its spoil tip to the right. This is now part of Glebedale Park.

The houses on the left edge are on Crawfurd Street. Running across the photograph is the Stoke to Derby railway line with Fenton Station on the right edge in front of the spoil tip.
