Description:This is the part of James Kent, Potters Millers in Fountain Street, Fenton. The photograph was taken from close to Hitchman Street, off Victoria Road. Just appearing on the extreme right hand edge is the ornate Fenton Fire Station.
James Kent 's works were originally part of Baker's Pottery. In the photograph are the three calcining kilns, now grade II listed buildings, dating from around 1900. The ovens were used to roast flint.
