Description:Leeke's shop in Market Street, Longton. J Leeke was a grocer's shop sitting between Cyples Lane (left) and Noons Court (right) in Market Street. Now demolished, this is one of the entrances to Longton Exchange Shipping Centre. J Leeke also had branches in Edward Street in Leek and Town Road, Hanley. The shop was a grocer's and provision dealer's right back in the 1900s, then owned by Walter Lockett. In this photograph, the shop appears to have closed.
