Date:October 1963

Description:This was the view along Stafford Street from the junction with Albion Street (left) and Lichfield Street. Partial pedestrianisation has excluded much of the traffic. On the left, the building site, previously the site of the Palace Cinema, would become the C&A store, later Wilko's.

The buildings on the right largely still stand although with different occupants. Right at the bottom, the "Woodbines" advert is on the corner of Piccadilly.
