Date:April 1964

Description:The camera is looking north east over Westport Lake from the south shore. To the right is the spire of St Mary's Church in Tunstall, now demolished. Just in front is the site of Brownhills Tileries. Ravensdale and the Goldendale ironworks are the centre, with the chimney and blowing engine house to the left. The Trent & Mersey Canal runs left to right, just beyond the shore of the lake. The industrial sites have largely gone and the northern edge of the lake is now woodland.
