Description:The camera is looking north westerly over Sandbach Road towards Burslem. the square clock tower on Burslem Town Hall is just visible towards the right hand edge of the photograph. The cricket ground is in the foreground.

On the extreme left hand edge is the Washington Works of the earthenware manufacturer, Macintyre & Sons.
