Description:The main (front) entrance to Carmountside Junior High School, formerly Carmountside County Secondary School, opened in 1938. The buildings on Beard Grove occupied part of the the site of the former Hulton Abbey. The school has been demolished. Birches Head Road is climbing up the slope in the background to Birches Head.
