Description:Photograph of the Spitfire being transported from the old Spitfire Museum to The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery.

24 hour operation

The old glass museum was dismantled around the plane. The plane was then taken by crane to Warner Street.

It was then picked up by a larger crane and lowered into the area in which it now stands.

This area was outdoors at the time.

A roof was then quickly assembled over the area.
