Date:December 1962

Description:The camera is looking along the alleyway between the terraced houses on Best Street (left) and Fenpark Road (right). Park Lane runs across the foreground. The mound in the distance is the spoil tip of Fenton (Glebe) Colliery and brickworks.
These houses date from around 1900. The view hasn't changed much although the spoil tip has been landscaped (Glebedale Park). The photograph was taken from the edge of Fen Park.
