Date:August 1964

Description:Looking from the bend in Elphinstone Road eastwards towards the junction with Highgrove Road. The terrace of houses was built between 1900 and 1924. Up until the 1950s, it was known as Lincoln Road, being renamed in honour of Charles Elphinstone, a local and national theatre owner. The frontages remain much the same with the exception of Mac's Stores, which has become a house and the removal of the ornate street lamps.
