Description:Shelton New Road bridge over the main railway line in Cliff Vale. The bridge was being raised when the line was electrified when the photograph was taken. The camera is looking towards Hanley, with the Twyford's factory just the other side of the bridge and the tower of St Mark's Church in Shelton in the distance. The factory on the left has been completely demolished and the land used for, industry and that on the right is now the site of flats.
