Description:Villiers Street, Dresden, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
The street was named after the politician Charles Pelham Villiers who was the longest serving MP in Parliamentary history. For sixty three years during the nineteenth century he sat as an MP for constituencies in the Wolverhampton area.
This is one of many street scenes in the Blake Collection. Most of them were taken in the Normacot and Dresden areas near to where Blake lived in Cobden Street.
