Description:Meadow land in the Fegg Hayes area of the city. Cutting through the centre of the picture from left to right is the Biddulph Valley branch line. The spoil tip in the background belongs to Norton Colliery, and immediately in front of that is what remains of Taylor’s Chain Works.
Most of this site was reclaimed in the 1980’s and is now a nature reserve. The spoil tip has all but disappeared.
