Remembering the Greyhound
Bernard remembers drinking in the Greyhound:
"Do you remember Freddy Jones, the actor, TV actor of the year in 1970 or 1971?
"That was one of his favourite pubs. He lives in Oxfordshire and he was still acting about three or four years ago.
"He would be about 77 or 78, but it would be a small seaside theatre. He was a member of the Shakespeare Company and he was from Normacot or Dresden.
"I'd been to his house and we may have had a drink!
"Inside this pub was beamed. I think it's one big room but I'm not sure. It's right in the main Penkhull Sqaure."
