Description:The Sutherland Arms public house was constructed between 1848 and 1878. There are adjoining extensions dating from between 1878 and 1900. The sign for Boughey Street can be seen on the side of the building. Other buildings on London Road can be seen in this photograph, including a chemist, hardware shop, a barbers and a butchers.
