Description:The camera is looking eastwards with King Street off to the right and Park Road (now Fenpark Road) off to the left. St Matthew's Church is in the centre. Beyond the church is the Turner Memorial School.

Sty Matthew's Church was a Mission Church from Christ Church, Fenton, built in 1882, replacing an earlier church in China Street. The gothic style church has been demolished with the widening of King Street.
