Description:The Plaza stood on the corner of Pak Lane and King Street. Parts of the building still stand and operate as a snooker hall. The Plaza started life in 1910 as one of George Barber's Picture Palaces, one of the earliest cinemas in the city. It survived as a cinema into the 1980s, closing in 1982 before becoming a snooker hall.
